Series Lust

Besides working my butt off to finish about five simultaneous projects this Christmas (not kidding here), I thought I'd try to slip in a post about the little bit of reading I have managed to get in so far this winter. One thing that's been different about my reading habits lately is that I have been drawn, more than ever, to books in a series. Now I've always liked a good series, but I much prefer to wait until all the books are available so there's no waiting. Granted, that's not always possible, but if I can't get a series in completion, I at least prefer books in a series that also act as stand-alones. So it's kind of surprised me, this getting into a series so much. Maybe it's because I'm so busy- maybe it has something to do with the idea that I couldn't possibly finish the whole thing in one night, so why even bother trying, right? Might as well get that sleep in instead. I dunno. I'm just finding them easier to pick up and put down these days. So, here are a couple of series that have caught (and held) my attention lately.

The Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout
It's been a long time since I've fallen this hard for a series. I love love love the Lux series. Plus, this was one of those annoying "hurry up and wait" scenarios. I started reading this back in early Fall, and had to wait practically an entire semester to get to read the latest. Huff. She also has another long one called Daimon or something, but I have yet to get into that.

The Significance series by Shelly Crane.
I'm still working my way through this one. Okay! I'm just finishing book one. But I love the idea behind it, and I can't help but notice it's gotten more and more popular, so that probably says good things about it.
